Curriculum

Atwell College’s Education Support Curriculum is meticulously tailored to meet the individual needs of students. Utilising tools such as Abilities Based Learning Education, Western Australia (ABLEWA) and Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT), the curriculum places a high emphasis on developing personal and social capabilities with self-tailored curriculum in English, Mathematics and Protective Behaviours. These are aligned to real world circumstances and use student strengths to promote engagement and achievement.

Reporting

Atwell College’s Reporting to Parents (RTP) framework for Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) reports is designed to be more specific, streamlined, and aligned with the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) and Abilities Based Learning Education, Western Australia (ABLEWA) Curriculum.
Our updated RTP framework will operate on a hierarchy of support and achievement levels, ensuring that each student’s progress is clearly defined and appropriately supported. Commenting will be reserved for the overall comment section, allowing for a comprehensive yet explicit summary of each student’s achievements and areas for growth.
