The P&C is a vital link between the college, parents, carers, staff and students. We work closely with the College to help continuously improve the educational, academic, social, sporting and artistic experiences of the most precious people in your lives… your children. We encourage you to be a part of it.
Being part of the P&C is a way to directly contribute towards enhancing your child’s experience at Atwell College. Diversity within the P&C is important and ensures that the P&C is representative of the College Community. We welcome interested parents, guardians, grandparents and other supporters of the College to join or attend our P&C Meetings.
Our Role
The functions of a P&C Association are to:
- Promote parent, carer, grandparent participation, cooperation and involvement in the school.
- Provide a direct link to the College, Principal, Administration, policies and programs that impact your child.
- Provide a forum for parents to discuss issues, provide feedback, ask questions and suggest improvements to issues pertaining to the College and its community.
- Support the operation of the College, promote the College and the interests of our students to the wider community and help in ensuring that Atwell College is a positive and inspiring learning place for our students.
- Provide extra resources for the benefit of government school students.

General Meetings
Meetings are held at the College, are informal and inclusive and we welcome new members throughout the year.
Membership is only $1.00. Meetings are attended by the College Principal, who reports on relevant information happening within the College.
In Term 1, we have an Annual General Meeting (AGM), when all executive committee positions are declared vacant and a new Executive Committee is nominated and voted in. These positions are President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
You are welcome to attend any meeting and have a look and are under no obligation to join. Becoming a member entitles you to vote on issues and nominate/vote for Executive Committee members.

Support the P&C
The P&C Association promotes a Voluntary Contribution Appeal of $25.00 to raise a proportion of the funds we give back to the school, which benefits all students. Parents are asked to consider making a contribution each year. It is rewarding to see the benefits spread around the school.
Why Donate?
- It is a practical way to assist your child’s school directly and in modern times with our busy family and work lives.
- It is a sensible way to avoid time consuming fundraising activities.
- It is a practical way to extend the P&C projects which last year included the installation of two Chilled Water Dispensing Fountains for just over $22,000.
